Concessions
The card will be delivered free of charge to your home. From the time of your request, delivery can take anywhere from a few working days up to 30 days. The delivery service is handled by Poste Italiane.
Please check that the delivery address is correct and that the mailbox displays the name and surname of the recipient.
The card is valid for three years for all categories, except for the unemployed, workers on redundancy funds, and those on mobility support, for whom the card expires in three months.
On the discounted card, you can load a monthly pass and receive a discount on single-ride tickets.
It’s very simple: you can request it from our website by attaching the required documentation depending on the category. Along with the documentation, you must also include a receipt of payment or a €5.00 postal order to C/C N° 17176017 made out to Cotral Spa (L.R. 30/98). The amount is non-refundable even if the request is not accepted.
If the medical certification of the disability (submitted in the online request mentioned) requires assistance, the benefits for the requester will also extend to the assistant. For example, if you have a reduced fare card and purchase a ticket at 50% of its cost, your assistant will also be able to buy their ticket at a 50% discount.
The possession of the Cotral Reduced Fare Card entitles you to a 50% discount on the ticket and monthly subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions can be loaded directly onto this card. The discount goes up to 70% if you travel outside peak hours (from 9:00 to 12:30 and after 15:00). The reduced fare ticket is valid only on our vehicles for a single trip (direct) starting from your municipality of residence. The Cotral Reduced Fare Card is not valid on Atac and Trenitalia vehicles.
If you have one of the following requirements, you can request the “Reduced Fare Card”:
– unemployed, workers in layoffs, and workers in mobility;
– pensioners with an income not exceeding the INPS minimum;
– invalids with permanent working capacity reduced to less than 50%.
No, it does not expire; it is automatically renewed on the first day of each year.

The card allows free travel on all our buses and on regional train lines operated under the Service Contract between Trenitalia and the Lazio Region. The free fare card is not valid on Atac vehicles, Metromare, and the urban section of Rome-Viterbo.
Yes, seniors over 70 travel for free on our buses. You can request the over70 card from our website by attaching your ID card (front/back), health card, and a photo. The card will be sent to you free of charge, and you must carry it when traveling on our vehicles.
Public safety agents and officers, Carabinieri, police forces, penitentiary police, financial police, municipal police, other public order and security forces, firefighters, port authorities, ANAS personnel with road police service cards, military personnel (Army, Navy, Air Force), forest police, and private security bodies may use their service card. For municipal police officers, the service is limited to transportation services within the municipal territory and necessary commutes to and from work.
Passengers who can travel for free on our vehicles include:
– residents of Lazio who are 70 years or older and have a free over70 Card;
– children up to 1 meter in height, one per adult companion;
– public safety officers while on duty;
– disabled or invalids of service (with a certificate issued by the Ministry of Economy).
It’s very simple: log in to your reserved area on the Lazio Region website agevolazionitariffarietpl.regione.lazio.it and request a voucher for purchasing the reduced subscription. You can then recharge the subscription on the Atac website or at our ticket offices. Within 24 hours after recharging, your Metrebus will be ready to be activated at a validator on one of our buses, at one of our self-service ticket offices, or at the turnstiles of Metro A, B, or Metromare.
If you meet one (or more) of the following requirements, you are entitled to a 50% discount on the subscription cost:
– you have an ISEE income not exceeding €15,000;
– you are a minor orphan of one or both parents;
– you are a war disabled or invalid;
– there is a disabled person in your family according to Law 104/92, in the case of severe disability (Law 104/92, Article 3, Paragraph 3);
– you are part of a single-parent family with at least one dependent child, or a family unit with at least four dependent children.
If you need to purchase multiple Metrebus subscriptions for the same family unit, you are entitled to an additional discount:
– for a second subscription, an additional 10%;
– for a third subscription, an additional 20%;
– for the fourth subscription (and subsequent ones), an additional 30%.
If you meet the requirements for the reduction, you are entitled to a 30% discount on the subscription cost.
To apply for the Lazio Region fare reduction, you must meet these two requirements:
– be a resident in the Lazio Region
– have an ISEE below €25,000.
